Bondi History | Wally Weekes Sign

The Bondi Surf and Social Club was founded in 1907 in a tent on the sand hills at the north end of beach, and later moved to land owned by Club Captain Wally Weekes.

In March 1929 the land on which North Bondi Surf Club and Wally Weekes’ house had been built was acquired and incorporated into the Park.

Wally’s legacy is the North Bondi tidal pool, and this is its sign.
