Anna Palozzi and Lola
Anna Palozzi and Lola
We were walking along the Promenade toward the pool when we noticed a dog being dragged down the hill at the south end of the beach. It turns out Lola, the dog, was not being recalcitrant but was being treated to one of her favourite pastimes. She loves being hauled along like that, even over the concrete path at the top. It must feel scratchy in a good way. Click through to watch the video.
Anyway, we were keen to speak to Anna to find out a bit about her.
“I made my decision to move to Bondi 10 years before I actually did. I knew when I moved to Bondi I was never going to leave so I had to live somewhere else first. I’ve been living here for close to 14 years and always grateful to live in such a beautiful part of the world. I love everything about Bondi. The water, people and the vibe.
The first thing I did when I moved to Bondi, I closed the door and walked straight to the beach and took it all in. It was December and the vibe was awesome.
I especially enjoy the water. Ocean dips. Iceberg swims. All year round. The best!
Added bonus is I work from home. I run my own (Airbnb property management) business, anna at bondi and most of the properties I manage are local so I’m always walking around the area attending to what’s required. Sometimes I drag my dog along, literally :)”
How do you spend the first hour of your day?
“Always with my dog Lola. After feeding my 2 cats Rocky and Meeko, Lola and I head out. I change it up every morning, dog parks, Bronte walk, Rose Bay Dog Beach, Kutti Beach. Or sometimes a short walk and of course anywhere along Bondi Beach where she has developed a taste for a good back scratch!”
Is there one thing you’d like people to know about you?
“I’m a gay man trapped in a woman’s body. Someone told me this many years ago. This is also how most of my friends would describe me. I agree.”
We are not really sure what that means but we love the picture it paints!
