Annie Parnell and Sian Faber
Annie Parnell and Sian Faber
We’ve known and loved Annie for many years but Sian, although known by Remo, was new for me.
Sian is an artist who has a fascination with water. Starting out as a painter she now creates sculptures by hand-cutting and placing thousands of tiny glass shards in a way that reflects the reflection of light on the surface of oceans, rivers and lakes.
We gave Sian the Bondi Observer questionnaire.
What’s your Bondi story?
I lived in Bondi for 25 amazing years, running my massage and Pilates business, meeting and marrying my husband Guy , swimming in the late great Neil Roger’s swim squad at iconic Icebergs, painting hundreds of paintings of Bondi waves and most importantly creating a social family of ocean swimming friends .
How do you spend the first hour of your day?
If it’s not a swim morning then it’s a cup a tea in bed with a few socials before a walk or a stretch and then on to the day.
Is there one thing you’d like people to know about you?
Although I am a Kiwi and am currently based in my art studio in Southern Spain, I will always be a Bondi girl.
