Barry Rallis and The One That Got Away

Barry grew up in Bondi but moved away when he was 18.
He opened The One That Got Away on Bondi Road 28 years ago. We think he’s the best fishmonger in the neighbourhood and that’s because after all these years he’s still passionate about what he does. He still gets up at 4am to go to the fish markets (we would have given that up a looong time ago!) and he’s still coming up with new and interesting ways to eat seafood.

We duck in to pick up some ready made pies and soups from time to time. And Olive (the dog) is going to give his fresh pet food a go.

Barry enjoys writing the specials on the front window as he gets to chat to passersby.
