Dabriella Quayle
Dabriella Quayle
We noticed Dabriella as she was coming out of the surf. She has a friendly face so we stopped her for a quick chat.
Dabriella has been here in Oct 2013 “after 10yrs of living in Tokyo, Japan (my Mum is Japanese and was born and grew up there). I worked as a Fashion Stylist. My identical Twin sister was living here and I was on a WHV (Work Holiday Visa) and planning to stay 3 months. Ten years on, I have my life partner, 2 year old son and 16 year old stepson!”
What motivates you?
“Learning new skills, my family and friends, being creative and self accomplishment.”
How do you spend the first hour of your day?
“Pre-baby was Yoga then Surf, now its Wordle, laundry, day prep, get baby and stepson up, daycare/school drop off! The juggle is real.” We hear ya!
I believe you are a Fluro Friday member (through which you met Harry and Meghan during their visit). Do you go every week?
“Since Covid and having Bub I have struggled to get there on Fridays. Given my partner is a Garbo it’s single Mumming it until he gets back from work.”
Is there one thing you’d like people to know about you?
“I always look for the positive in everything I do, say and situation I am in.”
Dabriella is a busy woman but still found time to work as a volunteer for the Matildas during the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
She was at the Referee Base Camp looking after the referees, and at the prematch ceremonies. “I took out the Australian flag for the Matilda’s Semi Final game against England, a once in a life time experience being on the field with 70K+ Aussies singing the national anthem!!”
