Unfortunately, and purportedly for safety reasons, the café at the Icebergs pool has stopped serving coffee in proper cups, opting for takeaway cups instead. (We somehow all managed without injury for the seventeen years that Andrew Crabbe was at the helm. But we digress.)

Long time pool attendee Jacinta was ready with her very spiffing leather holster made especially to carry her proper china tea cup and saucer. We all looked on in wonder at such a thing. Jacinta takes her tea drinking very seriously.

Having known her for so many years at the pool we felt it was time to get Jacinta’s story.

My Bondi story, I guess started with my dad, born and raised in Bondi, but while I’m all about appreciating our spectacular bay; never found a better swimming spot, he was all about golf and always told us about his unique Bondi experience of learning to play golf in early 1940s  from the one armed golfer at the North Bondi golf course.

First hour of the day - I would like to say I jump up and go straight to bergs by sunrise, but actually I always first have a cuppa at home and do wordle, connections and strands with Jimmy and Sophie (son + girlfriend) and arrive hours later.

One thing to know about me - I love a well made cup of tea  in a proper cup😉 [Ed: we got that impression]
