Jacqui Feeney
We bumped into Jacqui at the Bondi Innovation Forum at the Pavilion last Friday.
Jacqui has had a long career in media and technology and is now “dedicated to a portfolio of activities that supports the next generation of innovation champions as an advisor, mentor and board director”.
She moved to Bondi after returning from the UK 26 years ago. “I married an Englishman who I met in Bondi. We bought up two sons here. My mum used to live in Bronte in the 80’s and I still remember ‘old cheap Bondi’ and places like Positive Vibrations, the Hakoah Club, plus the migration melting pot. So much rich social history in the 2026 basin.”
What motivates you?
“I’m motivated by community, friendship and getting outdoors to walk and swim – exemplified by the awesome people in Francis Street where we share activities and activism including live music, Sunday cycling, precinct meetings, street parties and the Francis Street Film Festival.
How do you start your day?
“I’m a morning exerciser so you’ll find me either on the soft sand at the beach, Icebergs pool or the cliffside walk to Bronte.”
Is there anything you’d like people to know about you?
“I’m happiest barefoot – it means I’m home.”
