Jordan lives and works in North Bondi. We asked her a bunch of questions. This is what she had to say:
“Moving to Bondi three years ago was a natural transition for me after spending a significant amount of time in the Inner West. Growing up near the beach, I always longed for the salty air and the vibrant atmosphere that Bondi offers. Plus, having my friends living in Bondi made it even more appealing. The bustling energy and vibrant lifestyle of Bondi truly captivated me.
I consider myself a social butterfly, and meaningful connections with my family, friends, and the local community are what drive me. Bondi provides the perfect backdrop for fostering these connections. Whether it's soaking up the sun, enjoying a coffee at my favourite Bondi cafes, or going for a walk or swim, these activities allow me to engage with others and create lasting memories.
Being an early riser, I seize the opportunity to make the most out of my mornings. Most days, you'll find me out and about, walking to Bronte or at Pilates. It sets a positive tone for the day and invigorates both my mind and body. To top it off, I love to treat myself to a well-deserved coffee at Sonoma, Will & Co, or BRu—the ultimate reward. These coffee spots have become my personal favourites, and they always hit the spot! Happy days!
4As a proud Yorta Yorta and Ngarigo woman, I hold a deep sense of gratitude for knowing my family history and my roots. It's a privilege to have a connection with my ancestral heritage. Additionally, my cultural background is beautifully diverse, with my mum also having Italian and German roots, and my dad being Portuguese.
Bondi, fortunately, embraces and celebrates diversity and culture. It's an inclusive community that recognises and values the richness that comes from different backgrounds. This appreciation for diversity is evident in the vibrant tapestry of people, events, and experiences that can be found in Bondi.”
