Leonie was on her way to work when we approached her. Leonie is a year 3 teacher at Bondi Beach PS. We commented on her shirt and she told us as it’s Harmony Day and all the school will be wearing orange.

Harmony Day is an opportunity for us all to celebrate the diversity of cultures and traditions of Australia.

Leonie grew up in Batemans Bay but now lives in Clovelley. She rides her bike to work and does a lap of the promenade on foot every morning. She loves Bondi Beach PS as it’s “very supportive of the local families, encourages students’ learning and is a very welcoming environment.”
