Mal was out on the promenade volunteering for the Wentworth for The Voice campaign. You’ve probably seen him. He’s been there a lot.

“My wife Simone and I moved to Bondi Beach from Bronte when our (then) early teen kids (Ed. including Hugo) were drawn to the area to surf and socialise. We bought a run down place and have been fixing it up ever since.

The ocean, sun, and family/friends are my normal motivations however the YES23 campaign has grabbed my attention for now as I was so tired of the misinformation around the referendum. So I’ve jumped in with the Wentworth for the Voice group and really enjoying talking to our fellow eastern suburbs neighbours and visitors alike.”

How does Mal spend the first hour of his day? “Paddling a surf ski, walking and or swimming occupies the golden hours of most days!”
