Mark Tuffy
We highly recommend tapping people in your community on the shoulder to find out a little bit about them. It can be so rewarding.
Mark completed his Masters of Fine Art at COFA in 2007. While he was working at the Bondi Bowlo he was able to continue his art practise during the day. Since 2013 he has been the Public Spaces Officer for Waverley Council which leaves little time for anything else.
He has been living in Bondi since 1999. His life was upended when his wife Renee Morris who was a neuroscientist at UNSW, died three years ago.
Before we said goodbye he recommended the book he is currently reading, Bondi Beach: Representations of an Iconic Australian by Douglas Booth, a meticulously researched autobiography of a beach.
