People of Bondi | Bart Melocco with Bella
Bart has been living in Bondi since 1989. He was originally from the Manly area but fell in love with Bondi and so moved here with his beautiful Brazilian wife, Fernanda with whom he has raised two children. They were initially attracted by all the “great multicultural activities that existed in the Bondi Pavilion during that time, particularly the Brazilian Capoeira martial arts, music workshops and the South American Festival. All were unique to Bondi!” Bart feels strongly that “we must unite to save the Bondi Pavilion community part in the new plan!”
Bart’s other passion is acupuncture for good health and wellbeing. “It is so good for calming the spirit and assisting the body to heal itself.” Bart opened his practise, The Seven Ways Health Centre in North Bondi five years ago to treat and assist the community. Back then it was just him but now there are 6 of them working in the centre, all highly experienced in their particular fields. As well as acupuncturists there are remedial massage therapists, an osteopath and reflexologist.
