People of Bondi | Kate Swinson
Bondi Fresh Daily had the pleasure of meeting this nature-loving graphic designer at her tiny but utterly charming South Bondi studio recently (obviously not today!) that she has been working out of for the last year.
Kate’s work celebrates nature and her free-ranging rural childhood and is all produced locally.
Kate, who has a fine art and design background, launched Native Swinson earlier this year and along with it a range of children’s wallpaper and fabric, with a kids Australian bush-inspired tent to come (”Why are Australian kids in tepees?”)
Being Bondi Fresh Daily we were interested in what she likes about coming to Bondi every day (back to us!).
She loves that when you are walking or driving down Bondi Road and you get that big ocean view at the bottom, “no mater how you are feeling, it lifts you up, it’s restorative”. She also loves that within very small parameters there are many different types of stimulation and that it has managed to retain a bit of grunge.
