People of Bondi | Ken Brandon

Ken is an avid traveller. We bumped into him the day before he was off to Japan with his wife Debbie to see the cherry blossoms (and possibly drink some sake). He is such an avid traveller that he has written 2 books on the subject, with a bit of his renowned humour and some history thrown in. Ken has lived in Bondi for over 73 years (we’d have to deduct the time spent exploring 154 countries, and counting). He and Debbie have been in Bondi together since 1982. They are both teachers. In fact we first got to know Debbie and Ken when they were teaching at Bronte PS when our now grown children were at the school. Ken has taught there for 33 years.

He still walks daily and swims year round.
