Remo was so excited as we reached the north end of the Promenade this morning, it was apparent that a sports hero was somewhere in our midst. And so there was. Kurtley Beale, a star Australian rugby union player, was walking just ahead of, and he was nice enough to stop for this photo.

Kurtley lives in Randwick but comes to Bondi regularly for recovery and swimming.
