People of Bondi | Matthew Aaron and Blue

We bumped into bird lover Matthew and his Indian Ringneck Parrot, Blue, on the promenade last Saturday.

Ex digital strategist Matthew has lived in Bondi since 1986. He reckons the 90’s was the best decade so far at the beach. Matthew has been through a lot of personal changes over time but marshall arts and singing and playing guitar are the constants that keep him going these days.

His good friend Blue is 4 years old. These birds can live to 30 and are very sociable. Matthew says that Blue is the smartest pet he has ever had. At least as smart as the smartest dog. While Blue doesn’t necessarily understand the meaning of the words he knows, he knows how to use them appropriately. (Phew!)
