Bondi’s Cooee Gallery is currently celebrating its 35th anniversary with a pop-up exhibition at the Wadsworth Gallery on Oxford Street, Paddington.

Responsible for putting the whole thing together was Mirri who has been in partnership with Adrian for the last couple of years.

The opening was last night and runs through until the 30th December. 

Bondi Fresh Daily managed to get some Christmas shopping done (feeling a little but smug) so get along soon to see some great Aboriginal art and possibly pick up a little (or big) something.

Mirri is standing in front of the most beautiful and finely detailed painting by Pitjantjatjara artist, Jorna Newberry. The painting, ‘Ceremony for Women’ had a very satisfying red dot next to it. Lucky sod whoever got that one.
