When we asked Ruth, who works at the Total Environment Centre, what she loves about Bondi she had this to say:
“I love the muscular power of the beach and the beauty that always takes my breath away. There’s a magnificent generosity to Bondi that endures despite all the concrete and cars. If anything I’d like to see more respect for this extraordinary jewel so close to the city - better planning, less traffic and more trees. We need to look after this powerhouse of refreshment spiritual invigoration and optimism instead of taking it for granted. And people should stop wearing chemical sunscreen. It kills the fish!”
