We’ve been seeing Russell around the Bondi traps for many years now, mostly at the pool where he comes with husband Freddie. The couple met in 2014 during winter swimming at the Bergs.

Russell runs Rebel Angel Strategy his consultancy that creates Marketing Measurement Models, for more effective and efficient creative content and media channels. 

We’ve been very keen to find out a bit more about Russell.

What is your Bondi Story?
Edinburgh in Scotland is the city I was born in, and I was brought up moving around the world. My father was a Colonel in the British Army. We lived in Germany, Ireland, England and Scotland, and Dad had stints in Norway and Cyprus. I went to boarding school in Scotland then university in Oxford. After working in London I moved in 2004 to sunny Sydney ... and never looked back🌞 [Why here?]The beaches are better here than in London!

How do you spend the first hour of your day?
You'll often spot me and my better half, Freddie, enjoying soft sand runs or spending time at Icebergs; whether taking a refreshing dip in the pool or hitting the gym. It's a delight to both be washed-up onto the sunny shores of Bondi Beach. 

Is there one thing you'd like people to know about you?
Enjoyed cocktails with the late Queen Elizabeth II at Balmoral Castle🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Cheers!
