City2Surf

The annual City2Surf run happened today. Bondi Beach is the finishing line, and so this is where EVERYONE ends up. The street where we live is the one that becomes the feeder for all of the buses that take people away. So, in the very early hours of the morning we typically get treated to the sound of parked cars being towed to God knows where. People, high performance fabrics and corporate logos were thick on the ground … and all of the local cafés and restaurants made hay as the sun was shining. Roman pulled a long shift at Birichina. It was business as usual at the Bondi Icebergs (Sunday is race day) where I bumped into a C2S-personal-besting Chris Zinn, not bad for a 50 something media man.
