#letthemstay

This is how the day started down at the beach today.

There was a gathering at sun up in support of the #letthemstay movement that is gathering momentum around the country to put pressure on the Australian Government to change its mind about sending back 267 asylum seekers including 37 babies.

37 cots garnished with barbed wire were set up in front of the Bondi Pavilion, representing the babies who are being threatened by a return to detention.

It was a very powerful image.

The event was organised by Avis Mulhull and Kaz McGrath.
