UNICEF Initiative

This UNICEF initiative which is supported by Domestos was down at the beach the weekend before last.

It is a see through loo (that is, from the inside it feels like you are out in the open) which highlights the issue that many women face around the world of not having access to a toilet and so are forced to go out in the open. This can lead to harassment, attack and even rape. 

The UNICEF/Domestos is an ongoing partnership that is providing clean toilets to the most impoverished communities across the globe. Having access to safe and clean toilets improves the health, safety and dignity of women and children. It also has many flow-on benefits such as improved work-force participation and gender-empowerment.
