Visiting Bondi | Viv Aplin and Maddie Leslie

These fabulous friends Viv and Maddie are visiting from New Zealand. Viv is from Norsewood on the North Island and Maddie is from Christchurch.

They are in Australia for the Grand National Saddle Horse and Rider Championships that finishes on the 8th of April. Maddie is competing in the championship and Viv is along for the ride!

There were a couple of firsts for Viv. It’s her first time in Bondi and the first time she has put on a “pair of togs” in 20 years. And she was working it!

We had never heard of Norsewood either. It’s a small rural settlement that was founded by Norwegian settlers in 1872. Norsewood’s Scandinavian heritage is still celebrated annually.
