Elke was sitting on the bench next to where Annie was towelling off after her swim on a very cold and windy late afternoon. We were laughing about the fact that as Annie is from the UK originally (but now lives here in Bondi) she didn’t feel the chill at all and in fact was towelling off rather slowly given the conditions. On the other hand Elke, who lives in Byron Bay found the cold positively arctic and was staying rugged up.

When we asked if we could to get a photo of the two of them they jumped into position. And when we asked how long had they known each other and had they met here in Australia they told me they’d never met before! They look like great friends!
