As you may have noticed, we have a new graphic identity for Bondi Fresh Daily, as evidenced by the new header (don’t worry, despite this moving post, nothing is going to animate :) For this fun new brand idea we have a very special Bondi local to thank: Mark Stott, the founder of Common Design. Common is the creative lead for TEDxSydney. Check out their amazing work from 2015 HERE.

When Mark got word that we were hunting around for someone to help us out with a new brand identity, he sent us this welcome email: “mate i’ll send you an idea later for bondi fresh daily. very simple but cool and effective. i have a vested interest in you choosing a cool direction. bondi is my home and i don’t want it being portrayed in a tacky way..;)”

And the result is indeed cool (well, we reckon it is). The header will change over the course of the day (every 48 minutes in fact) … and the shape of the moon will accurately reflect where we are in the lunar phase … in Bondi of course!

Thanks Mark and Jonathan at Common … and also Adam the Web Guy, who is mostly done, but still ironing out some bugs on the programming front. It’s been a fun little project.
