Special Edition | Sculpture by the Sea 2015
Today is the opening of the 19th annual “Sculpture by the Sea”. It is the world’s largest outdoor free-to-the-public exhibition of contemporary sculpture, staged along Sydney’s spectacular Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk. It attracts upwards of 500,000 visitors to view over 100 works of art produced by both local and international artists.
And to that end we here at Bondi Fresh Daily have decided to dedicate today’s posts entirely to Sculpture by the Sea.
This first photograph is SXS regulars Gillie and Marc Schnattner’s fibreglass and steel ‘Flying Fish’. Matthew Asimakis, Clarance Lee and Caitlin Roseby’s site specific ‘Half Gate’ can be seen in the background.
