Bondi Festival 2023 Songs of the Sirens Rehearsal
In Bondi you never know what you’re going to get when you step out of your front door.
We took the dog out for a walk last night and came across the dress rehearsal for Blush Opera’s performance of Songs of the Sirens, a free operatic offering that takes place on the sands in front of the Pavilion.
The rehearsal was overseen by festival director Rachel Chant, composer Dr Paul Smith (who has written a new vocal score for this work), Blush Opera director Nicole Pignon and costume designer Aloma Barnes. The performance promises to be unique and wonderful.
You can see Songs of the Sirens this coming weekend and the following. The 30 minute performances start at 5:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
