Bondi Local RIP | Dave “Big Wave” Hannagan

Sadly this week we learned of the death of Big Wave Dave. SMH article HERE.

Dave lived a big life … and died a big death, in an avalanche at a the Jackson Hole ski resort in Wyoming. Dave, only 46, and his American companion Cathy Grimes (who also died) only met one another earlier this month. Tragic.

Dave was a local real estate agent and a senior instructor at Let’s Go Surfing.

As per the Let’s Go Surfing Facebook page, there will be an official Big Wave Dave Bondi Beach Paddle Out followed by a celebration of his supernova life in due course. Date and time to be confirmed on the FB page.
