After many years living and bringing up a family in Bondi, Chris and Jacqui have made the move to Queensland.
Jacqui moved to Brisbane nearly a year ago to take up the reins as CEO of Screen Queensland.
Chris took up the task of packing up the family home and followed suit earlier this year.
They’ll be back regularly for business and pleasure. Indeed they were here recently for a combination of the 2, but it’s too soon to say if the move is permanent.
We wanted to know what are the points of difference. Chris offered the following:
It is hard to navigate as it is so hilly. The roads are so windy and changes the names every mile, and there are so many tunnels and turn-offs. At least in Bondi I knew where I was.
The society is more open and relaxed than I expected and I am taking more risks with doing things (joining societies and associations such as bushwalking, etc.)
It is more different than I understood, such as the life admin of registration and licences, but I am quickly getting used to it.
