Meet, from left to right: Kayla, Shanelle, Monique, Tekishea, Taleyah, Jess and Kiara. These girls caught our eye on the way back from our late afternoon stroll. Who wouldn’t stop in their tracks? They were a gorgeous and joyful bunch.
Except for Jess, all the girls are boarders at Kambala School in Rose Bay and are in Years 8 to 11.
Jess is from Yalari, a not-for-profit organisation that offers quality high school scholarships for Indigenous students from regional, rural and remote communities. She was taking the girls on an outing to visit Bondi Beach … and to get fish and chips for dinner.
