If you like gelato you would know Jeremy’s work. Jeremyville does the murals for Messina Gelato and if you’ve been walking up Hall Street any time over the last 10 years, you’ve probably noticed his mural at our local Messina outlet.

This dynamic and creative duo, Megan and Jeremy have run a studio out of New York for over a decade but return to their Bondi home whenever possible. Although Megan managed to make a few quick visits during the COVID years, this was Jeremy’s first trip home in 5 years.

Bondi Observer caught up with them both recently.

“We've lived in New York for over a decade, but Australia is our spiritual home! Every year we return to reconnect with family and friends. The summers here are very special. It's magical to arrive in Bondi after exiting a minus 5-degree winter in New York and throw yourself into the salty ocean. It's the ultimate defrost and almost feels like a 'rebirth'.

Apart from the natural beauty of the beach, cliff walks, delicious food, and mind blowing coffee, Bondi has an amazing community of people. We love to come back here to reconnect and create new art inspired by our beach surrounds.

We personally think the diversity of cultures and creative scene make this place unique, combined with everyone's healthy obsession with fitness. From all our travels around the world, there's no place quite like Bondi ... our home away from home.”
