People of Bondi | Saxter
Saxter (not his real name by the way but what he is known as), who is a musician and collector of vintage instruments, is holding a very rare 1934 Paris-made saxophone. He comes down to the park in front of the beach at the south end most days to practise. Saxter plays with The Groove Acadamy band that does a lot of corporate function work and with which he travels a fair bit. He says they’re really good and judging by the snippet we heard on approach, he is probably right.
Saxter lives in a building at the south end that he says is very community oriented. There are lots of travellers but they have all been known to get together out the back, put a screen up and watch a movie.
