David Leser opened the concert last Wednesday evening by reading his SMH piece from 6 years ago Why I have never stopped loving the Beatles. It was a beautiful reminder of what there is to love about the band and to hold a lifelong passion.
For the next few hours we listened to various performers bring their unique take on the music. Including a Bondi favourite Evie Wheeler with her brother Pauli. Joining them for the opening of their set was Evie’s multi talented 10 year old son ‘Big Wave’ Billy.
