Poster on the exterior of the Royal Hotel in Bondi. The founding meeting of the Bondi Surf Bathers’ Life Saving Club happened at the Royal on 21 February 1907. Also, the Royal has been a backdrop for many films over the years, including a segment from the iconic 1966 movie “They’re a Weird Mob”.
