Sandy Hotz

Sandy is originally from Gqeberha in South Africa but came out here to join her children six years ago.

She doesn’t like wearing hats and so is always on the hunt for a good parasol. She found this one at Paddy’s Market in Paddington and it’s a beauty. The canopy is oiled Japanese paper and the ribs are made of bamboo.

We asked if there something she’d like to share with us:

“Reaching my late 70s and looking at my life, with all the ups and downs, the downs have given me gifts of strength that I would not have had. Very grateful and blessed 💐”.
